RS-485 Comm Chip

This RS-485 Comm Chip is Red Board Systems'™ third-party drop-in OEM replacement part for Brock® Part No's. 3729-00005 and 3729-0005 for the Brock® Quantum® and Spectrum® grain dryer controllers. It is also compatible with the Red Board Systems™ Retrofit Kit.

This replacement Comm Chip is much improved over the original OEM part and can survive conditions that would otherwise destroy the original part. Among other features, this Comm Chip has short-circuit protection along with Electrostatic Discharge Protection over +/- 10,000 volts. If you are looking to substantially improve reliability, this is the part to use.

To fully enhance reliability, Red Board Systems recommends replacing both the part on the Slave Board AND the part on the Quantum or Spectrum at the same time.
